About Scott

Born in Cleveland and raised in Northeast Ohio, Scott DiMauro spent a career as a high school social studies teacher committed to ensuring his students had the knowledge and skills to be effective citizens in our democracy. A leader in the teaching profession and his local union, Scott served two terms as President of the Ohio Education Association, where he advocated at the state level for great public schools, opportunities for all students to succeed, and a voice for his fellow educators.

From the classroom to Columbus, Scott has seen how policy decisions made by legislators can help or harm local communities. He will be ready on Day 1 to carry the fight for strong communities and a strong Ohio to the Statehouse.

Scott is the proud father of two adult daughters. He and his wife, Lauren, live in Westlake, less than a mile from Bay Middle School in Bay Village, where Lauren has taught for the past 18 years.
